Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU)

In 1956, Hong Kong Baptist College was founded by the Baptist Convention of Hong Kong as a post-secondary college committed to the provision of whole person education. In 1983, Hong Kong Baptist College became a fully-funded public tertiary institution. It gained university status in 1994 and was renamed Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU).

Today HKBU encompasses eight Faculties/Schools offering a range of undergraduate programmes, associate degree and higher diploma programmes as well as taught postgraduate programmes and research postgraduate programmes leading to the award of master and doctoral degrees. It prides itself on its dual focus on teaching and research and encourages service to society among its staff and students. Over the years, HKBU has remained committed to academic excellence and the development of the whole person, and has gained a reputation as one of Asia’s finest institutions of higher learning.

The OMEP Asia Pacific Regional Conference 2017 will be held at the Academic Community (AC) Hall and Oen Hall Building at Ho Sin Hang Campus of HKBU. AC Hall has the seating capacity of 1,346 in the Auditorium, equipped with Dressing Room, VIP Lounge, Foyer and Exhibition Area. It is suitable for ceremonies, religious functions, classical concerts, orchestras, musicals, variety shows, seminars and conferences.

For Overseas Participants from the Hong Kong International Airport:

1. Via Bus (CityBus) Route: E22

Take Bus E22 from Airport -> Get off at Ede Road, Cornwall Bus Stop-> Walk towards the direction of Waterloo Road -> Cross the traffic light and turn left -> HKBU Ho Sin Heng Campus entrance is on your right hand side.

2. Via MTR

Take Airport Express Line (Turquoise) -> Get off at Tsing Yi Station and interchange to Tung Chung Line (Orange) at Platform 4 -> Get off at Lai King Station and interchange to Tsuen Wan Line (Red) at Platform 2 -> Get off at Prince Edward Station and interchange to Kwun Tong Line (Green) at Platform 3 -> Get off at Kowloon Tong Station.

After getting off at Kowloon Tong Station:

Go to Exit A2 and go to Ho Sin Heng Campus of HKBU by foot.
Go to Exit D and take 29A Green Minibus (HK$4.5; reference only) towards Ho Sin Heng Campus of HKBU

3. Via Taxi

Take Taxi directly from Airport to HKBU AC HALL.
